As part of a technical project at the Rudolf Diesel Technical College for Mechanical Engineering in Nuremberg, a mobile wall mount for bicycles and e-bikes was developed that is particularly impressive due to its high level of user-friendliness. What makes it special is that the bicycle is rolled onto a ground-level rail without having to be lifted and then positioned vertically by motor. Our HIWIN profile rails ensure safe, vertical guidance. Finally, the bicycle is secured in place.This eliminates the high amount of effort required with conventional vertical mounting systems and significantly reduces the space needed in the garage or storage room, enabling optimal use of the available space.
In addition to space-saving storage, the system offers further convenience features: the vertical movement along our linear guideways is controlled by a radio remote control, ensuring bendable handling. An integrated tilt function has also been implemented, bringing the bike into an ergonomic repair and maintenance position.
This project is a great example of how smart drive technology can create ergonomic, efficient, and practical solutions. .
