Linear axes & linear axis systems
Transport and position components with precise and dynamic linear movements. We offer a wide selection of linear axes and linear axis systems with belt, shaft, rack and pinion or linear motor drives. Some of our linear axes are also certified for use in ISO Class 2 and Class 4 clean rooms. Thanks to the modular design, you can easily customize the linear axes with existing options in our configurator and combine them to form multi-axis systems. If required, we also offer extended customization options. And if you cannot find the right linear unit, we will be happy to develop a solution tailored to your requirements. Get in touch with us!
Precision axes & precision systems
Our precision axes and precision systems are labelled with the highest degree of precision. Repeat accuracies of ±0.05 um are achieved with high-resolution displacement measurement. This high precision makes our systems suitable for applications in the semiconductor industry as well as in medical and measurement technology. Standardised types are available, which we can customise to your requirements on a modular basis. The advantages: reduced development times, fast quotations and short delivery times.
Rotary tables
HIWIN rotary tables are ready-to-install rotary axes consisting of a torque motor, bearings, motor housing and distance measuring system. The rotary tables are backlash-free direct drives and are always used when classic motor-gearbox combinations reach their limits. The rotary tables are characterised by constant torque, rigid load coupling and maximum dynamics, especially with high loads. The rotary tables work highly efficiently and extremely quietly thanks to their high efficiency and the absence of a gearbox.
Servo motors
The highly dynamic AC synchronous servo motors deliver high torques throughout the entire speed range. Thanks to their minimal mass moment of inertia, they are also suitable for demanding dynamic drive tasks, such as high-frequency reversing operation. The special stator-rotor design achieves a very low torque ripple and high load density in a compact design.
Guidages sur rail profilé
Les guidages sur rail profilé permettent un mouvement linéaire à l'aide d'éléments roulants. Ballscrews
Ballscrews, also known as ball bearing screws or recirculating ballscrews, are used in a wide range of applications across virtually all areas of industry. They convert rotary motion into linear motion. Between the shaft, more precisely the threaded shaft, and the nut, the balls roll infinitely via a ball recirculation system, guaranteeing frictionless motion for your application. HIWIN offers a huge selection of spindle drives / drive spindles along with matching accessories.
Ball Spline
The HIWIN ball spline, also known as a ball spline shaft, is an anti-rotation shaft guide consisting mainly of a nut filled with steel balls and a shaft with several longitudinal grooves arranged in pairs. The steel balls roll in the tracks between the nut and shaft in a closed circuit and allow the nut to move along the shaft with low friction and high precision. The angular contact between the steel balls and the track in the nut and shaft enables radial loads and torques to be absorbed.
Strain wave gears
DATORKER® strain wave gears feature high precision, high efficiency, high torsional stiffness and low starting torques. They are widely used in robotics, automation technology, semiconductor technology, machine tools and many other industries.
Servo drives
The vector-controlled, fully digital servo drives are specially matched to the HIWIN motors. Servo drives ED1 with safety function STO are used for the servo motors of the EM1 series, as well as for linear and torque motors. Different versions and performance classes are available depending on the area of application. Ready-assembled motor and encoder cables as well as the freely available HIWIN commissioning software are available for easy installation and commissioning.
Torque motors
Torque motors are high-pole synchronous motors and do not require a downstream gearbox to reduce speed and increase torque. Due to their very rigid load coupling, the direct drives are used in high-precision rotary axes and applications with rapid load changes. The power transmission between the drive and output side is contactless and there are no mechanical components in the drive train. The result is a wear-free and maintenance-free drive with maximum efficiency. We also offer torque motors with liquid cooling so that no additional process heat is introduced in the machine tool sector. CAD data is available for download.
Moteurs linéaires
Outre les axes linéaires motorisés et les systèmes d’axes linéaires complets, HIWIN propose aussi des composants individuels pour moteurs linéaires pour personnaliser l’architecture des axes. Les moteurs linéaires se composent d’un étage primaire (le forcer) équipé des bobinages, et de pistes équipées d’aimants permanents (les stators). La combinaison de plusieurs stators permet de réaliser des courses de translation d’une longueur quelconque. De même, plusieurs forcer peuvent être exploités sur un même axe linéaire motorisé. Ils peuvent être excités sur l’axe indépendamment les uns des autres, ou être connectés en parallèle pour accroître la force d’avance.
Bearings
The HIWIN product portfolio contains bearings for an extremely wide range of applications. To provide a simple bearing arrangement for ballscrews, HIWIN offers ready-to-install flange bearing and pillow block units in fixed and supported bearing versions. Angular contact ball bearings are also available for mounting in a customer-specific housing. Crossed roller bearings can be used in applications requiring a particularly compact bearing arrangement with high moment rigidity.
Distance measuring systems
Displacement measuring systems from the HIWIN MAGIC series are optimised for displacement measurement in linear movements, especially in our linear motor axes and on our linear guideways from the CG series. They are insensitive to oil, dirt, vibration and shock and are therefore particularly suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions. The robust housing is electrically shielded and the signals are output in real time. In addition to the separate components such as the encoder and the magnetic scale, we also offer a linear guideway with an integrated distance measuring system in the form of our PG linear guideway.
